Meet the Hygienists

Dental Hygienist

Nancy Ebel

I have been working as a dental hygienist for 42 years. I love working in such a happy and encouraging office. We have the best doctors and team, and we serve the most incredible patients. It’s truly a joy to come to work, knowing I’m going to spend the day with wonderful people.

I offer gentle, thorough dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance to children and adults. While I’m caring for my patients, I teach them about their oral health in order for them to keep their smile healthy and looking great.

I’m very family oriented and love spending time with my husband, Jim. I have two married daughters and four grandchildren, with another on the way. We have lived in the Colville area for 39 years.  I also have black and yellow labs who are Jim’s hunting partners. My other interests include crafting, playing golf, snowshoeing, fishing, boating, and camping.

I enjoy getting to know and serve my patients. While I’m treating a person’s periodontal health issues, I teach them about dental health and identify risk factors for oral diseases. I want everyone to understand why it’s important to keep their mouth healthy and how to do so. Each person has his or her own needs, goals, and concerns. I work hard to get to know them on a personal level, so I can provide the care they desire.

I was born and raised in Kettle Falls. My wife Jodi and I were married in 1991. I have four children and am active in ministry at Kettle Falls Community Church. In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, camping, and watching local youth athletics.

My duties include taking X-rays, reviewing health histories, and cleaning and polishing teeth. A lot of my time is spent on patient education: teaching the best way to keep one’s smile healthy and beautiful. My patients are, far and away, the best part of my job. I enjoy each person’s experiences and personalities. I look forward to their visits as a time to hear about their latest adventures and plans for future, as well as about their families. It’s a joy to help my friends take control of their smile health!

I’m new to the east side of the state, having moved here from a small hobby farm on Whidbey Island. When I’m not working, I enjoy camping, salt-water fishing, and hiking. I love animals and look forward to snowshoeing with my dogs.

Dental Hygienist

Kathy Trudeau

Working with Dr. Fox and Dr. MacKay allows me to spend time with you as the patient. I take pride in providing high-quality cleaning and in-depth assessments of risk factors and oral health status. One of my goals during your time with me is to help improve your experience in the dental chair. I am always delighted to help a patient understand one more aspect of their mouth or how to improve their oral health at home.

A Northeast Washington Native, I grew up in Chewelah and I’m so excited to return after my dental hygiene education at Eastern Washington University. I’m a very devoted dog mom to my red heeler, Punky. During my free time, we like to go running and hiking together. I also am a very involved local member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

Dental Hygienist

I have loved working as a dental hygienist for almost 30 years.  My favorite portion of the dental visit is when, at the end of a cleaning, a patient smiles at me and comments on how their clean teeth feel nice and smooth. It may seem like a little thing, but having clean and healthy teeth is a boost to one’s happiness.

I spent my childhood in Kettle Falls. After graduating from Kettle Falls High School, I received my hygiene degree from Eastern Washington University. I have two grown sons, both of whom are line workers. I also have two big farm dogs and two small lap dogs. When I’m not in the office, I love to garden and landscape, ski, and be by the water.
